REEDY RIVER STRING BAND
Upstate South Carolina's Reedy River String Band has taken the Southeast by storm the past few years with their fresh take on Appalachian roots music. A regional favorite on the festival and brewery scene, Reedy River's sound is modern bluegrass with foot stompin' elements of rock n' roll and jam derived from the various touring and recording experiences of its members. Multi-instrumentalist Sterling Waite is a Florida native who studied at the University of Georgia before settling in the Upstate. In any given show, Waite interchanges mandolin, fiddle, banjo and harmonica to bring range and depth to the band's stage performance. Accomplished singer and guitarist Rush Morgan is also a Florida native who grew up in Clemson, SC and trained at the Dark Horse Institute in Nashville. Rounding out the lineup is veteran bassist Mark Dye, who many will remember as the bassist for jam band The Work for two decades. Dye's funky low-end thump gives the band a grit and muscle that only a former rockabilly bassist could bring to a bluegrass trio. All three of the members are songwriters and lead singers, giving the band a depth and variety of original material beyond its relatively short time together. Reedy River String Band released their debut self-titled album in 2022 and has since released a single, "My Grass is Blue," in 2023. Their sudio releases have been played on multiple radio stations in the Southeast including WNCW Spindale, NC, WLHR Lake Hartwell, GA, and The Creek Macon, GA.

MEREDITH FOSTER
The Missouri-born balladier by way of Oxford, Mississippi made her home in Charleston in 2021.Foster's music conveys a fresh Americana sensibility melded with poetic narrative lyricism.
